Bio

Mike is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Colgate University. He received his PhD from the University of Michigan in 2023. His research explores the disparate impacts of land use policies and spillovers from housing developments.

Summary of Project(s)

My paper studies Houston's 1999 minimum lot size reduction, finding that new developments were significantly smaller in size. A structural model finds that larger, lower-income households benefit most from lower lot size requirements.
