Bio

I am a PhD Candidate in Applied Economics at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and will be joining the Economics Department at Boston College starting Fall 2025. I study topics at the intersection of industrial organization and real estate finance. My research examines the economics of intermediaries and algorithmic pricing tools in the U.S. real estate industry.

Summary of Project(s)

In my job market paper, “The Equilibrium Impacts of Broker Incentives in the Real Estate Market,” I analyze how intermediaries’ incentives influence commission rates and house prices in the U.S. housing market. I explore “decoupling”—an alternative incentive structure where buyers and sellers pay their own commissions—and quantify its effects on commission rates, house prices, and consumer welfare.
