Xudong An Board Member 2022-2024 James (Jim) Conklin is an Associate Professor of Real Estate in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He is also a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute (Weimer School). Jim’s research focuses on real estate finance, including lender and borrower behavior in mortgage markets, residential valuation, and racial disparities in mortgage markets. His research has been published in various outlets, including Real Estate Economics, Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, Journal of Financial Intermediation, and the Journal of Business Ethics. Jim has served on the editorial board of the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics since 2018. He also regularly acts as an ad-hoc referee for leading real estate, finance, and economics journals, and has received outstanding referee awards from three different journals. In addition to attending and presenting at AREUEA conferences, Jim also participates in AREUEA’s Junior Scholar Program as a mentor. Jim received his BA from the University of Delaware and his PhD from Penn State University. Prior to graduate school, Jim spent six years working in the mortgage industry. |
