Lauren Lambie-Hanson

Lauren Lambie-Hanson is a principal financial economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.  She works in the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit department, where she has led the home equity stress test modeling team for the Federal Reserve System and has served as a System subject matter expert on real estate and consumer credit data.

Lauren previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, consulted for the Treasury Department's CDFI Fund, and taught as a visiting assistant professor of economics at Haverford College. Her primary research interests include residential mortgage lending, housing affordability, and the maintenance and improvement decisions of property owners. Her research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Urban EconomicsReal Estate Economics, and AEJ: Economic Policy. For the past three years, she has served on AREUEA's Women in Real Estate Network (WREN) committee.

She holds a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
