Job Description and Position Requirements
The Department of Real Estate and Urban Land Economics in the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison invites applicants for a lecturer position in Real Estate. The duties of the lecturer include facilitating classroom and/or online teaching in Urban Economics along with other Real Estate courses based on experience, assessment of student performance, developing and designing engaging curriculum for one or more courses, and engaging in student advising and counseling outside of the classroom.
The Real Estate and Urban Land Economics department at UW-Madison is home to the top ranked undergraduate real estate program in the nation, and the Wisconsin School of Business is ranked amongst the top 10 undergraduate business schools. Madison, WI is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in America. It’s location between two lakes along with many urban nature areas provides many opportunities for people to explore the outdoors while having access to all of the amenities that people look for in a city.
Education and Experience
A master’s degree in real estate or related field is required. A PhD in real estate and urban economics or related field is preferred.
Applicants to this position must have a minimum of five years of real estate industry experience or teaching experience in a higher education setting if PhD is not the highest degree of the applicant.
Appointment Type
This position is a 9-month terminal appointment, with the possibility of being extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding.
