The School of Hotel and Tourism Management at CUHK Business School is inviting applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position (at all ranks) in real estate, starting in August 2025. We welcome applications from scholars specializing in real estate and/or urban economics.

Applicants should be promising or established scholars with a PhD (by the time of reporting for duty) in real estate or a related field. The appointees will conduct high quality research which results in publications in top-tier real estate, urban economics, business, and economic journals. In addition, they are expected to undertake duties to teach basic and advanced-level real estate courses at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, and to render services to the School of Hotel and Tourism Management.

Appointment at Assistant Professor rank will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2025, which, subject to demonstration of the requisite level of performance and mutual agreement, may lead to a longer-term appointment or substantiation later.

Established in 1998, the School of Hotel and Tourism Management is one of the six Schools and Departments under the CUHK Business School. Our mission is to develop future leaders in hospitality and real estate through comprehensive business education, innovative research, and strong industry and academic partnerships. We offer leading business programs that focus on hospitality and real estate in the Asia-Pacific Region, including a BBA in Hospitality and Real Estate, an MSc in Real Estate, and a PhD in Business Administration with streams in hospitality and real estate. The School comprises two research areas: Hospitality Marketing and Real Estate, targeting to produce high-quality, high-impact frontier research rooted in mainstream disciplines and benefiting the hospitality, tourism, and real estate industries.
