7th REALPAC/Toronto Metropolitan University CRE Virtual Research Symposium
Submission deadline: September 30, 2024
We are pleased to invite you to submit your academic or professional practice research papers for presentation at the 7th Annual REALPAC/Toronto Metropolitan University Commercial Real Estate Virtual Research Symposium.
We invite professional practice and academic papers that focus on:
- Artificial Intelligence and other real estate technology in real estate
- Effects of remote work within the commercial real estate industry (face to face interactions, work habits, lifestyle)
- Sustainability: Climate risk and mitigation, DEI or Indigenous focused research
- Affordable housing and other housing issues from the viewpoint of commercial real estate
- Rent control and rent control exit strategies
- Changing office market needs (conversions, return to office)
- Interest rates, inflation, and cap rates
- Construction costs, supply chain and labour challenges
- Retail performance and effects of e-commerce
- Income producing real estate assets and their financial performance metrics
- Indexing and indexes of commercial real estate assets
- Risk and return relation to commercial real estate markets
- REITs, their management issues, and their financial performance metrics
- Policy issues that focus on domestic and/or international capital flows that target commercial real estate markets
- Other relevant topics, including international investments or flows or technology transfers and the like, as related to the commercial real estate industry
- Presentations related to Canadian commercial real estate industry are strongly preferred
Submission Guidelines
