The Classic City

The University of Georgia is located in Athens, nicknamed “The Classic City” because of its architecture and vibrant music, art and food scene. Athens has affordable real estate prices and a low cost of living. Whether you’d rather explore the State Botanical Garden of Georgia or catch a concert at a local venue, Athens has something for everyone. Steps from the Terry College’s state-of-the-art Business Learning Community, downtown Athens is packed with unique galleries, shops and restaurants. Plus, there’s nothing quite like being “Between the Hedges” for a Georgia football game. There’s a reason Athens continues to be named one of the best college towns in the country.
