Call for Papers
We are now accepting submissions for the 2023 FSU-UF Critical Issues in Real Estate Symposium.
Private equity real estate (PERE) has become increasingly popular with accredited and institutional investors seeking opportunities in alternative assets. Understanding risk and return profiles across sectors and investment strategies is crucial for investors and fund managers. This symposium is devoted to exploring issues related to direct and managed private equity investment in commercial real estate.
The organizers encourage the submission of research contributing to real estate finance and economics. A partial list of suitable topics includes:
- Risks and returns of public versus private equity real estate investments
- Strategies and performance of direct PERE investments and funds
- Capital structure and valuation of PERE
- Portfolio considerations and PERE
- Market environment and frictions associated with PERE performance
- ESG strategies and valuation of PERE
The host institution is pleased to reimburse transportation and hotel expenses for presenting-attending author(s) up to $1,000 total for each paper presented and to cover program meal costs.
