Position Description
The Goizueta Business School of Emory University invites applicants for a full-time Assistant, Associate or Professor of the Practice faculty position. The practice track position focuses on real estate in the Finance area beginning Fall of 2022. The faculty position requires teaching some courses and also includes the title of Director of the Real Estate Program. Goizueta Business School has had a full-time real estate program since 2007 that includes five course offerings, student real estate clubs, a student-run real estate private equity fund that invests in Reg. D private real estate syndications and REIT stocks, participation in real estate case competitions, real estate dinner and learn panels and guest speakers, and in spring 2021, our first annual real estate conference featuring national quality speakers.

The job includes supervision of the GBS Real Estate Private Equity Fund, acting as faculty advisor to the student real estate club, maintaining an alumni database and circulating job notices, membership in real estate professional associations and maintaining contact with real estate alumni, assisting in curriculum development and fundraising, and performing other tasks and initiatives to grow and improve the Real Estate Program. Some teaching of courses in the area of real estate finance will be required, as well as occasional travel. Salary will be competitive depending upon credentials. Ph.D. in real estate, finance, economics or related field is preferred, but not mandatory. This is a non-tenure track position. Send an email expressing interest and include resume.

Successful applicants should ideally have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, including graduate and undergraduate students. Relevant experience in industry, government, or the public sector is a plus. Outstanding candidates with a master’s or a terminal degree and commensurate experience will also be considered.
