2024 International Conferences

AREUEA is pleased to announce two international conferences for 2024: (1) the Curaçao conference, June 23–26, which is hosted by Maastricht University’s School of Business and Economics and the University of Curaçao; and (2) the Hsinchu conference, July 26-28, which is joint with Asian Real Estate Society (AsRES) and hosted by Tsing Hua University at Hsinchu, Taiwan.

June 23-26, 2024

The conference, hosted by Maastricht University’s School of Business and Economics and the University of Curaçao Dr. Moises Da Costa Gome (UoC), invites academics and professionals to explore the latest research in real estate finance and urban economics. We welcome innovative research, dynamic discussions, and diverse perspectives. The conference also includes a poster session for PhD students. 

Submission areas include (but are not limited to):

• Real Estate Markets and Investments
• Urban Economics and Policy
• Housing Markets and Finance
• Sustainable Urban Development
• Climate Risk and Resilience

Important dates:

• February 28, 2024: Deadline for abstract submission
• April 15, 2024: Notification of acceptance
• May 15, 2024: Deadline for early-bird registration

Submissions guidelines:

Submissions can be in an early stage, but at a minimum, submissions need to be detailed abstracts along with preliminary results. While papers may have been submitted to journals, they should still be at the R&R stage. Papers and extended abstracts can be submitted through https://www.conftool.org/areuea-curacao-2024.

AsRES-AREUEA Joint Conference, Hsinchu, Taiwan
July 26-28, 2024

The conference is hosted by the College of Technology Management (CTM), Tsing Hua University (Hsinchu), and will be held concurrently with Global Chinese Real Estate Congress (GCREC) conference.

The conference provides a forum for academics, practitioners, and policymakers in the areas of real estate finance, development and investment, housing, urban planning, urban economics, hospitality, and public policy to discuss and share their latest research and views on the global real estate market. In addition, the conference seeks to promote the theme of "The Future of Housing Landscape" in five areas:

1. Sustainability: The development direction combining the sustainable spirit
2. Resilience: Resilient living environment under future changing conditions
3. Innovation: Breakthrough solutions brought about by innovation and technology
4. Cross-Domain: The integration synergies of cross-domain and diverse objectives
5. Pioneering: Innovations in housing finance and risk management

Important dates:

• March 1, 2024: Deadline for paper or abstract submission
• March 31, 2024: Notification of acceptance
• May 1, 2024: Deadline for submitting full papers for Best Paper Awards
• May 15, 2024: Deadline for early-bird registration
