Job Description:

The William Newman Department of Real Estate is seeking applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2026.

The successful candidate will engage in high quality scholarly research and publish their work in
top-tier academic journals and teach a variety of basic and advanced real estate courses at both
the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline. Successful candidates should possess a demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality scholarly research and publication, outstanding teaching skills, and a willingness to participate in the growing Real Estate programs at Baruch actively.

Applicants are required to submit a narrative statement describing their commitment to and experience with working effectively with faculty, staff, and students in a multicultural/multiethnic urban campus environment with a substantial population of students who are among the first-generation of their family to attend a college or university.

Compensation and Benefits:

CUNY offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs. We also provide mentoring and support for research, scholarship, and publication as part of our commitment to ongoing faculty professional development.

Salary Range: $207,148 - $230,000 in combined public and private funds.
