Call for Papers
17th Real Estate Markets and Capital Markets (ReCapNet) Conference
IREBS, University of Regensburg
23-24 October 2025

The network on Real Estate Markets and Capital Markets (ReCapNet) provides a forum for researchers in the areas of real estate finance, investment, economics, development, housing, urban planning, and public policy to present advanced working papers. Theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented contributions are possible. The conference allows researchers to network while fostering the exchange of research ideas and results.

The 17th ReCapNet conference will be held only in-person at IREBS, University of Regensburg.

Topics of interest:
The conference focuses on a broad range of topics related to real estate markets and their connected capital markets. Research papers in all areas of real estate finance and real estate economics are welcome.

A non-exhaustive list of potential topics includes:

• ML and technology-oriented applications in the real estate sector
• Decentralized finance (DeFi) and real estate tokenization
• Real estate asset pricing
• Housing affordability
• Real estate and pension finance
• Reverse mortgage

• Global trends and real estate: risks and challenges
• Financial stability and real estate

Papers will be selected based on a competitive review process. Presenters will be asked to discuss another paper.
