Call for Papers: 3rd ODU Real Estate Research Symposium
October 2nd & 3rd 2025
Advances in Housing Research in Association with the Journal of Housing Research
The E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate in the Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University is pleased to announce a call for papers for its third annual research symposium. The event will be held on October 2nd & 3rd 2025 at ODU’s campus in Norfolk, Virginia.
This year’s theme is housing research and papers presented at the symposium will be eligible to be featured in a special issue of the Journal of Housing Research, subject to the normal reviewing process for the journal. The symposium will provide researchers with an opportunity to present and discuss new papers and facilitate the exchange of research ideas. All presenters will be asked to discuss another paper.
Submissions are welcome from across the broad range of topics relevant to housing, including;
- Brokerage
- Demographics, Migration, and Communities
- Household Finance
- Affordability & Work Force Housing
- Market Dynamics
- Mortgage Financing
- Multifamily and Rental Markets
- Proptech and Technological Innovations
- Public Policy and the Regulatory Environment
- Spatial Modeling
- Sustainability, Climate Change and Green Buildings
Thanks to the generous support of the E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate and the Harvey Lindsay School of Real Estate at ODU, presenters will be provided with accommodation and economy travel expenses to a reasonable amount.
Authors should submit either extended abstracts or full papers by June 30th 2025. Decisions will be made by the program committee and authors will be notified by July 15th 2025. Full length papers will be required by Monday September 1st .
