Travel Visas

Visiting the Netherlands does typically not require travel visa (for instance for visitors coming from the US or European countries). But for some countries a travel visum is required because of national regulations in the home country. Hence, we advice participants to check with their home authorities on this, and contact us in case our assitance is needed.

Discover Rotterdam!

Rotterdam is one of Europe's eye catchers. After the devastation of the second world war bombings, Rotterdam renewed itself into a modern architectural masterpiece. The city is also famous for its harbor, which is the largest of Europe. As the seat of Dutch East India Company the harbor carries both cultural as international allure. The contrast of the modern architecture and the flair of an old European city with the century old well-preserved trade buildings, makes Rotterdam a spectacular city district.

Rotterdam has a lot to offer. An evening boat trip on the river, a harbor tour, or gala dinners in one of many well preserved traditional trade-buildings are ways in which Rotterdam will charm its visitors. But also from a Pan-European perspective, Rotterdam is a good location to start a journey from. London, Paris and Berlin are for instance located at only 100, 300, and 400 miles away from Rotterdam. Milan, the venue of the ERES 2010 Annual meeting, which will be organized from June 23rd to 26th, is located at only a two hour flight from both Amsterdam and Rotterdam airport.
