Real Estate Economics is the publication of the American Real Estate and Urban
Economics Association. The journal has been published since 1973 and is the oldest
academic journal concentrating on the real estate industry.
The journal is considered the premier journal for real estate
related topics. The purpose of the journal is to facilitate communication among
academic researchers and industry professionals and to improve the analysis of
real estate decisions. Articles span a wide range of issues, from tax rules to brokers'
commissions to corporate real estate including housing and urban economics, and the financial
economics of real estate development and investment.
