Call
for Papers
2010 Asian Pacific Real
Estate Research Symposium
Hong
Kong, July 14-15, 2010
The University of Hong
Kong (HKU), National University of Singapore (NUS), Tsinghua University (THU) and University of Southern California
(USC) are pleased to announce a call for papers for the 2010 Asian Pacific
Real Estate Research Symposium on Real Estate Research. This
is the ninth real estate research symposium since the first one held in Singapore
in 2002. The 2-day symposium, to be held on July
14-15,
2010 in Hong
Kong, will be hosted by the Department of Real Estate and Construction of
Faculty of Architecture at HKU.
The symposium aims to promote real estate
research in Asia and provide a platform for researchers
to have an active and intensive exchange of research findings. The
symposium offers an opportunity and allows sufficient time for participants
to have an in-depth debate and discussion on real estate research issues.
We also hope that the symposium can strengthen the links between
real estate researchers from Asia and other parts of
the world.
The symposium welcomes original research
on real estate finance and economics and in particular studies that are relevant
to Asia. Twelve papers will be selected by the Scientific
Committee for presentation and discussion in the two-day symposium. All
papers presented will be independently reviewed for their suitability for
publication in a special issue of The Journal of Real Estate Finance & Economics
(JREFE).
Stringent criteria will be adopted in the
selection and review process to ensure that the quality of the papers will
not be compromised. The Scientific Committee comprises editorial
broad members of JREFE and other renowned real estate researchers from all
over the world.
There will be no registration fee and The
University of Hong Kong will provide accommodations for paper presenters and
discussants.
Please submit your full paper – preferably
in electronic format (MS Word or PDF files) to K W Chau at hrrbckw@hku.hk before April 1,
2010.
