Submissions
All papers in the broad area of real estate finance,
real estate economics, urban economics, and urban planning will be considered.
Also, offers to serve as a discussant are welcome. Please submit an abstract
or a completed manuscript as well as offers to serve as a discussant no later
than April 15, 2010 to: Danny Ben-Shahar (dannyb@technion.ac.il) or Efrat Tolkowsky
(efratt@post.tau.ac.il). The program
committee will review the submitted manuscripts and will send a notification
of the selected presentations by May 1, 2010.
Conference
Dates and Events
A day-trip to Tel Aviv will be offered to interested
participants on Friday, July 16. The sessions will begin on the morning
of Wednesday, July 14 and conclude in the afternoon of Thursday, July
15. As part of the conference we will schedule lunches and dinners
for all three days (July 14-16). The tours are optional, but you and family
and friends joining you are actively encouraged to join us on the organized
tours.
Venue
Sessions
will be held at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. We will also bloc a set
of rooms at a hotel in Jerusalem for Tuesday, July 13 through Saturday,
July 17 (reservations may of course be extended for those who express interest).
Papers
Presentations
will be limited to one hour per paper, with time for assigned discussants.
We expect to have 10-12 papers presented at the event.
Conference
Expenses
There
is no registration fee and we will pick up the costs of the scheduled lunches,
dinners, and tour to Tel Aviv. Unfortunately we are unable to cover any part
of flight and hotel expenses. Accommodation at a boutique hotel (Mishkenot
Shaananim) overlooking the old city of Jerusalem.
The hotel cost is estimated at about $200 per night.

to Israel
From
North America – non-stop flights on Air Canada,
Continental, Delta, and El Al (code share with American).
From
Europe – nonstop flights from all major cities on El
Al and the major European carriers. Easy connections from North
America.
From
Asia – nonstop flights on El Al from select cities. Connections
via Europe on all major European carriers.
