Gould/Mayfield Professorship in Real Estate and Urban Development
The Department of Finance and Real Estate at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for Gould/Mayfield Professorship in Real Estate and Urban Development at the Full Professor rank. We would prefer to hire at the full professor rank but would also consider candidates who are currently associate professors and have an outstanding record. The position is contingent on budgetary approval and will be effective fall 2019. The minimum qualification for this position is a Ph.D. in Real Estate or Finance (or equivalent) subject to evidence of teaching and research in real estate. Commitment to high quality research and teaching as well as business community outreach is required. The Gould/Mayfield professor is expected to have research interests that reflect significant intersections between real estate and analytics.
The Department of Finance and Real Estate houses the Ryan-Reilly Center for Urban Land Utilization. The department has an active Ph.D. program and faculty members regularly collaborate with doctoral students on research projects. The department also offers MS in Real Estate and MS in Quantitative Finance programs. The department currently consists of eight tenured and tenure-track faculty. The department faculty has published in top journals such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.
