
Held for the first time in 1992, AREUEA's annual International Conference over the years has become the leading conference to address global developments in international topics that affect real estate and urban economics. AREUEA membership now include individuals and libraries from over 45 countries around the world.

General Conference Information
The American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) is pleased to announce the 2016 annual international conference will be held in Alicante, Spain on July 7-8, 2016, with a welcome reception on July 6, 2016, organized by the Alicante University. The Alicante airport has multiple connections with most European cities, including direct flights from Madrid, London, Paris, and Frankfurt Airports, and main flight hub linking flights with the US and South America.
The conference will be held at University of Alicante campus, located at 10 minutes by taxi from the airport and 15 minutes from Alicante city, in the town so-called San Vicente del Raspeig. A map of location can be shown here.

For participants who need a visa in order to attend the conference, please follow the general EU regulations. Letter of invitations will be issued once the paper selection is completed./p>

Call for Papers
The 2016 American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) International Conference will take place in Alicante, Spain (EU) July 7–8, 2016, with a welcome reception on July 6, 2016. The conference will be held at the University of Alicante campus. The conference will provide a forum for academics, practitioners, and policy makers to present research findings in the areas of real estate economics, real estate finance, urban economics, and other related areas.
Well-developed abstracts or full papers (preference for full papers) must be submitted online, through the AREUEA portal, from the 1st of November 2015. The submission deadline is March 11th, 2016 and the AREUEA submission portal will close at 11:59 pm Eastern Time Zone.

Conference Hotel
The venue for the conference is the Aulario II in the University of Alicante campus. A bus service will be provided from hotels and the University campus twice a day.

Location and Transportation
The University of Alicante Campus is located at 5 kilometers of Alicante city borders and has a direct exit to the A7 Motorway which connect the Alicante Airport with all the coast. Busses will be provided from the main hotels to the University twice a day. Tram is also available with a stop at the University and stop available close to the Eurostar Lucentum Hotel door.
Alicante city has only one airport well connected with main European cities due to their large residential areas and tourism destinations. Flights coming from any continent can connect directly with Alicante through Madrid or Barcelona airports as well as from any main European air-hub. The venue is a 15-minutes taxi from the airport and 20 minutes from Alicante city. From Alicante to the campus, taxi or tram is convenient.
